A Day At the Farm

While visiting my parents we spent the day at The Lazy Five Ranch. We rode on a horse drawn wagon out where the animals run free. We each received a bucket of food for the animals. My daughter loved this! She seems to be a farm girl at heart. She even would tell the animals as they crowded around her, "Now you, wait your turn."

It is so fun to see my children enjoy different life experiences and to notice their passion for their interests. They crowed to the roosters, baaed to the sheep and oinked to the pigs. The highlight was feeding the animals and my daughter especially enjoyed "talking" to them. My hope is that they will develop a love an appreciation for the wonders of nature and see this as a treasure from God. He has called us to care for our world and all of the many creatures inhabiting earth.

Dear God,

Thank you for richly blessing us with so many interesting animals. Help us to realize our world does have a delicate balance which requires our responsibility and care. Thank you for the opportunity to be with animals and to learn about them. May my children learn to care for our world and preserve it's natural resources. In Jesus Name, Amen

Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Thanks Lazy Five and Grammie and Papaw for a fun filled day!
